Curriculum Tracks
The NewCourtland School of Practical Nursing offers an innovative curriculum designed to be completed in 13 or 18 months. There are three tracks to this curriculum – the Practical Nursing Traditional Track, the Practical Nursing Pathway Track and the NEW Practical Nursing Step-Up Track.
Students in all tracks receive the same high quality nursing education, core nursing courses (Nursing I-V), evidence-based nursing practice, and a clinical experience. Required general education courses for the Pathyway Track are taught by faculty from Community College of Philadelphia and carry college credit. Required general education courses for the Step-Up Track must be transferred from an accredited College or University.
The Practical Nursing Pathway Curriculum graduate will have completed at least 27 college credits. These credits may be applied toward continuing their nursing education.
